Indonesia Work Visa 2026: E23 Requirements and Cost

By the SettleBuddy editorial teamUpdated 14 October 20267 min read

Indonesia's work visa is the E23 Working Visa (Visa Kerja), a limited-stay visa that your employer, as sponsor, applies for online on the official e-Visa site. You choose a stay of 180 hari (days), 1 year or 2 years, the fee depends on that choice, and your stay permit (ITAS) is issued automatically when you are admitted at the border. This guide sets out the documents, the fees, the processing time and what Indian, Pakistani and New Zealand applicants should know, as published by Indonesia's Directorate General of Immigration and read on 14 October 2026.

Quick answer

Your Indonesian employer must be your sponsor and apply through evisa.imigrasi.go.id. You need a passport valid for at least 6 months, a 3-month bank statement showing at least USD2000, a CV, a photo, an itinerary and a work permit from the Ministry of Manpower. Fees: Rp. 5.250.000 for up to 180 hari (days), Rp. 7.000.000 for up to 1 year and Rp. 9.500.000 for up to 2 years. The visa is issued four working days after payment and must be used within 90 hari (days).
